The company are going from strength to strength with key clients expanding orders as well as an increase of work coming through new business. The addition of an Automation Design Engineer to the team adds to the organic growth from the last couple of years, with future expansion in the pipeline planned over the next three years.

The Role

The successful Automation Design Engineer will be able:
  • To create and design write PLC / HMI / SCADA control system software.
  • Prepare requirement and design documents, including new product development
  • Issue and manage technical documentation including detailed design packages and generate any test procedures and technical manuals required with the product
  • Analysis of alternative solutions and conduct best practice performance to produce reliable and cost-effective designs
  • Carry out testing and acceptance with customer
  • Commissioning of systems (both in office and on site)

The Candidate

Due to the nature of the role, the Automation Design Engineer will have:
  • Experienced as a automation Design Engineer or PLC Engineer
  • Must have experience with engineering equipment or industrial controls
  • Siemens S7/Portal (PLC and HMI) experience
  • Rockwell software (PLC and HMI) experience
  • Electrical engineering background
  • Apprentice trained
