A competitive salary between £40,100 - £50,700- dependent on capability

About the role

As the CNI Analyst - DBA you will provide database support for Oracle and SQL Server databases within the CNI Infrastructure estate. You will Provide 24x7 system management / administration expertise in high availability mission critical environments;
  • Perform proactive maintenance and monitoring.
  • Use change, problem, incident and release management toolset.
  • Liaise with 3rd party service centres / engineers as required.
  • Provide technical analysis.
  • Adopt, aspire and strive to use 'Best in Class' standards.
  • Engage and assist all technical leads.
  • Perform application / system's transition processes to Standby or Site failover capabilities.
  • Perform problem ownership and management.
  • Provide technical assistance, training and mentoring of other aspiring technical resources.
  • Monitor work flow management tools and react to logged tasks, incidents and requests.

About you

You will be educated to degree level, or equivalent followed by significant experience in IT. You will have a methodical and positive approach to problem solving. Experience of working effectively both individually and as part of highly productive teams in an Infrastructure/Application ITIL based support environment. You will have a Technical Know How in the following;
  • Oracle 12C Database Administration
  • Oracle 12C RAC Administration
  • Oracle ASM
  • Oracle RMAN
  • Oracle GoldenGate
  • UNIX experience, to include basic administration and KSH shell scripting.
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager - preferably 12C.
  • SQL Server
