Revenue & Yield Manager SLG Hotels - Full time - Wigan - £23,000 - £25,000 per annum

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Revenue & Yield Manager to join our team in Wigan on a full time, permanent basis. The key purpose of the role is to implement revenue management procedures to achieve the maximisation of revenue and occupancy. Liaising closely with the Head of Commercial, marketing and the holidays team on initiatives to drive sales.

Specialist Leisure Group (SLG) is a successful £200m turnover leisure business which employs more than 2000 people. The Group provides holidays and short breaks for over one million customers each year. The brands are well known and include Shearings Holidays, National Holidays, Caledonian Travel, UK Breakaways, Bay Hotels, Coast & Country Hotels, Country Living Hotels and Wallace Arnold Travel Shops.

Key responsibilities of our Revenue & Yield Manager will include:

- Oversee revenue management and distribution strategy and manage day to day yield operations

- Monitor yield, identify gaps and make campaign recommendations to sales and marketing

- Carry out analysis of booking patterns and drive strategy adjustments where beneficial to the business

- Monitor competitor performance, perform competitive benchmark studies and follow market trends, identifying key areas for improvement and action

- Create and develop pricing strategies in conjunction with the individuality of each hotel

- Ensure strategies are in place to address any areas of underperformance and to deliver optimum revenues

- Identify new revenue opportunities to drive revenue and optimize rates

- Assess, analyse and price group business strategies

- Track campaigns and manage yield technologies, processes and systems

- Conduct quarterly property performance review and develop strategic and tactical action

Skills required to become our Revenue & Yield Manager:

- Toccata experience desirable however rot essential

- Reservations background

- Yield/Revenue Management experience

- Good head for numbers

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to operate with a certain level of autonomy

- Ability to motivate themselves and with a passion to succeed

- Supportive and communicative (ability to pass on information clearly, personable, supportive)

- Detailed and technical (attention to detail, not easily distracted, can see a process to the end, committed)

- Persistent, resilient and determined (success orientated, data finder, patient)

- Able to analyse and determine actions

- Sound commercial awareness
