Finance and HR Officer

We are recruiting for an Finance and HR Officer for our client based in Birmingham. This is a part time role, 30 hours a week within the education sector. The ideal candidate will provide full support to the Chief Finance Officer.

As an Finance and HR Officer you will need to have:
Financial management experience in an educational setting
Administrative experience in an educational setting including HR functions
Experience of using purchasing systems
Experience of child protection procedures and commitment to safeguarding pupils
Payroll experience

Details:
Salary: £14,941.00 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week
Location: Birmingham
Duration: Permanent

Key responsibilities of an Finance and HR Officer :
To raise all purchase orders and invoices
To add new suppliers to the internal system
Follow the appropriate GDPR guidance
To ensure accurate completion of the monthly VAT returns
To check and complete weekly payment runs
Monthly bank reconciliations
Assist the management of HR processes and functions
To report on to report on sickness absences
Respond to queries if possible or redirecting to the HR Lead
Carry out relevant employment checks
Submit monthly payroll
