Ancora Medical Practice Scunthorpe is seeking enthusiastic GPs to join our practice team

We are currently reviewing our clinical team and have opportunities for full-time or part time GPs with partnerships available .We are entering a period of growth, list size is increasing every week and we wish to encourage this increase to achieve 20,000 patients in the next few months. We see this growth as essential to our vision of a larger sustainable and successful practice delivering more secondary care services in the community and being part of training and development of future doctors to carry on the practice past 2020.

Training practice for Hull and York Medical school currently 2 trainee places

Active involvement in Safecare Network Ltd - North Lincs. Federation of GP Practices

Actively involved in the development of Primary Care Networks.

RCGP practice accreditation 2012

Part of Safecare Network, locality based Federation of all 19 Practices in North Lincolnshire looking to develop

100 hour pharmacy on main site owned by partners

What are we looking for

Able to work up to full - time 8 sessions, will consider part time.

Paid non clinical session(pro-rata) which maybe worked in the practice or flexibility at home with lap top provided by the practice

Commitment to working as part of a multi disciplinary team.

Keen to develop a special interest to improve services to patients

Salary and hours negotiable, dependant on experience

6 week annual leave plus CPD, pro-rata for part-time positions, partners have 8 weeks leave including study time.

Where are we?

Ancora Medical practice was established after the war and has been providing quality medical services to the patients of Scunthorpe Town and surrounding area of North Lincolnshire. We currently have 10 partners full and part time and 2 salaried GPs

Located in the Scunthorpe town centre based on two sites currently a 10 partner GMS practice with full complement of staff: practice nurses, healthcare assistants and administration staff caring for 19000+ patients

Two well-equipped surgeries, Ashby Road the main surgery has just undergone major extension and refurbishment, branch surgery is currently undergoing major refurbishment increasing the footprint by 100%, due to finish in April this year.

Scunthorpe has access to a network of motorway links and is an easy commute to the cities of Hull, Doncaster, Lincoln and the Coast. There are excellent schools in the area including grammar schools; Humberside UTC is a mixed university technical college offering technical qualifications in engineering

When do we want to appoint

Whilst the position is initially being offered as salaried, the practice will, in due course consider a full partnership opportunity for a highly motivated and hardworking individual
