This post has arisen as a result of vacancy in the junior doctor rota. It is designed to develop junior doctors' generic skills, building on F2 competencies before Specialty Training as expected for Modernising Medical Careers. The post holder will benefit from training opportunities equal to colleagues in recognised training posts. Start date 7 August 2019.

Although this post is not recognised for training under Health Education East of England and candidates who are appointed will not be entitled to an extension of training or provision of remediation, we are committed to ensuring that the holders of these posts will be provided with an equivalent experience of a Foundation or Core Trainee with comparable Clinical Supervision being given, together with full support to enable postholders to compile a portfolio if required to support the post holder to compete for further posts in 2019/20. If an electronic portfolio is available to the trainee we will glady support this.

This post can be tailored to meet the requirements of the applicant. There are a variety of specialties which can be included within the rotation including Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care, Surgery, Paediatrics, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Urology and General Medicine. Most posts are for four months over a 12 month placement.
