Full Time
Highly Specialist Systemic Psychotherapist, band 8a

We are currently looking to recruit a Highly Specialist Systemic Psychotherapist to join us in Bromley CAMHS to work in our Generic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team. The post is advertised as full time. However, we have a positive approach to flexible working and would also be pleased to receive enquiries and applications from candidates who may wish to work part-time hours.

Bromley CAMHS is undergoing a period of expansion following a successful bid to become a national 'trailblazer' site in delivering government ambitions for children and young people's mental health services. This post has been created as a result of new investment and is open for qualified applicants from the Psychotherapy discipline with appropriate post-qualifying experience, who are registered with the UKCP.

Bromley CAMHS has close relationships with the wider specialist CAMHS, our cross-borough crisis team for young people, our DBT service and the wider South London Partnership. The service is underpinned by CYP IAPT principles and the post holder would support and assist the core aims of this in the service. This can involve exciting and creative participation work and service development.

The post holder will hold a key role as a senior Systemic Psychotherapist within a strong, friendly CAMHS department. There are opportunities for supervision of band 7 colleagues as well as providing consultation to multi-disciplinary colleagues and possibilities for service development work.

Alongside South London & Maudsley and South West London and St George's Trusts, we are partners in the recently created South London Partnership, delivering a successful CAMHS New Care Model and a new Forensic CAMH service across South London. As a result, we are developing a number of new services including a new Crisis Service providing emergency care in and out of hours and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy in order to help young people to access care within their communities.

The service has excellent accommodation and is based very near central Bromley with a 15 minute train journey to London Victoria.
