We are one of the largest specialist mental health and learning disabilities trusts in the country, with an annual income of £320m and a workforce of some 6,700 staff operating from around 100 sites in Durham, Teesside, North Yorkshire and York and Selby. We provide a range inpatient and community services to 2m people living in County Durham, the Tees Valley, Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire. We also provide additional specialist services to other parts of Northern England.

We deliver our services by working in partnership with eight local authorities and clinical commissioning groups, a wide range of voluntary organisations, as well as service users, their carers and the public. The services are spread over a wide geographical area of around 3,600 square miles, which includes coastal, rural and industrial areas.

This post is being advertised to address a temporary need until September 2020 however the Trust has made the commitment to offer Registered Nurses a permanent contract with the Trust. In the event that the need for this post ends, a suitable alternative post will be offered (this does not apply to other registered professions). Applicants should be aware that alternatives may require some flexibility on role and/or location.

The service has been developing over the last fifteen years and requires a highly motivated practitioner to join a dynamic team providing and promoting early identification and intervention for people with psychosis between the ages of 14 and working age.

You will be an innovative, creative, practitioner, wanting to develop yourself but also able to contribute to the on-going development of the service. Applications are invited from those with a relevant professional qualification eg RMN/DipSW, Diploma/Degree in OT or equivalent, who has the ability to work independently and within a team. The post holder will be responsible for supervised care co-ordination and co-working of identified clients, ensuring appropriate assessments, intervention and treatment within programmes of care.
