Consultant Physicians in Acute Medicine with Specialty Interest

Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a forward-thinking acute hospital (DGH) serving the communities of West Norfolk, South Lincolnshire and North East Cambridgeshire, with a capacity of 488 beds.

We have an excellent opportunity for 2 newly qualified or experienced Acute Physician Consultants to join us at a time of rapid growth and service development. Successful candidates will have an opportunity to gain valuable experience of service transformation and development.

Our Acute Medical Division consists of an Ambulatory Emergency Care Service, an Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and a Short-Stay Ward. We have been doing Emergency department (ED) in-reach to review and manage our medical patients in ED. We also run daily Acute Medical Clinics allowing us to complement our quality focused model of care.

We are seeking highly motivated, inspirational future leaders to drive forward our Acute Medicine service as it expands as part of our long-term strategic goals. With an innovative and committed team making positive changes happen daily, there has never been a better time to join the QEH.

Your role as a Consultant Physician in Acute Medicine will be dedicated to ensuring effective and high quality acute care; an essential part in delivering our plans to transform QEH.

You will be working with a growing team of high achieving Acute and General Medical Consultants to provide a high quality medical emergency care service to the communities of West Norfolk, South Lincolnshire and North East Cambridgeshire.

You will work closely with colleagues from Emergency Medicine, other medical specialties and community care services.
