The role sits within a Business Finance team aligned to one of our Disciplines in our Planning and Advisory business unit, and will report to either the Finance Manager (FM) or the Senior Finance Manager (SFM), depending on the discipline structure. Primary responsibilities of the AFM include supporting the finance business partners and/or team lead in the financial and commercial aspects of running their region / service.

A typical month would include:
  • Assisting in the production of Profit Centre level management reporting and analysis
  • Assist operational team during monthly revenue recognition process which should develop into centre responsibility as experience grows.
  • Assist operational team during monthly working capital reviews which should develop into centre responsibility as experience grows.
  • Support the Annual budgeting & forecasting process in collation and accuracy of input data
  • Ensuring Corporate Governance, control and best practice is understood and communicated effectively to the business.
  • Input, extrapolation and analysis of financial data in/from the Corporate ERP system.
  • Wider duties may include; presenting financial topics, commercial training, co-ordinating meeting invites and project team working

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • Part qualified or embarking on Accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Experience of working within a team.
  • Internal candidates applying for this role need to have worked at an Assistant Finance Manager level and have consistently demonstrated delivery above expectation.
  • Experience of Business Partnering with a finance background is preferable.
  • Experienced within functional specialism
