Talent Development Director - Leadership DevelopmentJob DescriptionRole detailsBusiness Title: Talent Development Director - Leadership DevelopmentKey Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesGeographical Scope of Role: Global Role Overview:Develop and drive the Smith & Nephew global leadership development strategy and deployment of our leadership programmes/ interventions to develop leaders at all levels to enable our growth strategy and culture. Lead the design, development, deployment and programme management of all our leadership development solutions with internal and external partners to ensure a world class participant learning experience.Specific Responsibilities:Continually evolve and deploy our global leadership development strategy, aligned to current and future business needs to enable delivery of our business strategy and culture.Define, design, lead & evaluate development of formal learning globally for all employees from employee/ manager induction, development for individual contributors through to multi-programme leadership development and executive development for senior leaders.Partner with business leaders, HR, HRIS and CoEs at all levels to proactively understand unique business needs and ensure leadership solutions/ initiatives are fit for purpose and drive business outcomes. To include identification and development of global leadership development solutions for top talent, senior leaders and evolving roles.Lead and maintain the global online platform (myLearning) for all self-directed learning and develop strategies to ensure utilization of licenses year-on-year.Partner with GBS to drive simplification and automation all learning initiatives including global processes and partners. Maximise the opportunity of our new global LMS to ensure all talent development needs are incorporated.Bring best practice thinking and learning approaches to drive world class leadership development solutions.Effectively manage vendor, GBS and third party relationships to ensure seamless programme delivery and a world class participant learning experience.Drive and assess the value and effectiveness of all our leadership development solutions, maximising RoI of each development activity.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree required as a minimum.10-15 years of Human Resources or organisational/ leadership development experience required.Must have experience in a Centre of Excellence role.Detailed knowledge of leadership practices, concepts and programmes, with specific experience in programme design, development, management and evaluation.Proven leadership skills; able to clearly communicate ideas and proposals to all levels, develop trust and influence as a senior thought leader with a broad relationship base.Proven strategic agility balanced with a strong drive for results and action orientation.A commercially savvy leader who is capable of inspiring others and establishing themselves as a credible strategic business partner.Strong business acumen, organisational agility and influencing skills to get things done at all levels in a matrix organisation.Strong analytical skills and a drive for simplicity and efficiency.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Travel Requirements: 25-50% as this is a global role.
