Domus Recruitment are currently looking for an Interim Support Manager.

The role will be working for an established national charity that needs immediate support for a residential care home in the Leeds area whilst they recruit for a permanent member of staff. This position will be on a rolling contract and suits anyone with a proven track record in outreach service management who has experience in working with individuals with learning disabilities and those on the autistic spectrum that can come in and hit the ground running with minimal supervision.

The role will be to manage the provision of the Service and ensure the service is maintained to the highest standards and that all systems support the service efficiently and effectively.
You will be responsible and accountable for managing and sustaining a high performing team who deliver a high quality care service that empowers service users to have maximum control over their lives and enables them to achieve their personal outcomes.

An example of responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the management and supervision of staff to enable them to maximise their potential, through leadership, coaching, example, support and guidance.
• Responsible for budget management.
• Adhering to all CQC regulations and raising standards of care where necessary.
• Be responsible for the negotiation of contracts and fees with Local Authorities and PCT`s for new and existing services.
• You will be required to maintain the high care standards that have been set in the home, and be an excellent manager of staff.

Key skills and experience required are:

• Experience of managing Learning Disability services and complex needs
• Previous history of being a registered manager
• A background in recruiting staff team and occupancy
• Experience of line managing a team
• NVQ 5 or above
• Knowledge of the needs and rights of adults with Learning Disabilities
• Any experience of working with individuals with a forensic history would be a bonus
• Good knowledge and understanding of CQC, Health and Safety and Local Authority requirements.
• Communicate effectively to a range of audiences, both verbally and in writing including staff development.

Salary £26,000 - £27,000 pro rata

Previously successful candidates have come from an established Home/Outreach Manager Position and worked with Learning Disability, Autism, Challenging Behaviour or Complex Needs for Adult services.
