Macildowie is pleased to be working with an established organisation based in Leicester, as we look to recruit an experienced Purchasing Assistant to join the busy Purchasing department.

We are recruiting this role on a Temporary to Permanent basis, therefore you must be available at short notice to undertake this position.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

* Maintain an efficient Purchase Order System, providing suppliers with timely PO numbers
* Ensure suppliers are in receipt of orders
* Manage overdue deliveries from suppliers
* Highlight and resolve supplier performance issues
* Ensure all deliveries are booked correctly and liaise with accounts re GRN's
* Ensure stock levels are in line with customer demand via working with Sales team
* Ensure any customer service problems are dealt with efficiently

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

* Previous experienced in fast paced environment ideally within purchasing
* Strong communication skills, and adept at working accurately but with pace
* Computer literate including MS Office particularly Excel
* Highly organised and able to prioritise workload
* Common sense approach with an enquiring mind
* Able to deal with multiple tasks at once

This is a great opportunity to join a busy organisation based in Leicestershire.

Hours are Monday - Friday 9 - 5pm although there could be some flexibility on this

Car Parking is available on-site.
