We have a fantastic opportunity to join our National Accounts Team, as a National Account Manager. As a member of the National Accounts team, you will contribute to the development and implementation of an effective business strategy and drive the development of one of our key accounts. The role will focus on building long term relationships in order to optimise sales through the provision of retail expertise and delivering commercial and retail plans.

Package description

Apart from your salary, you'll receive 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays / rising to 36 days after 12 months in the role) and be entitled to join our company contributory pension scheme where we'll match your contribution up to 5%.

Main responsibilities
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop a long-term and sustainable partnership and manage day to day complex relationships within the account, at all levels
  • Ensuring Health & Safety policies and regulations are followed at all times, escalating any concerns as appropriate
  • Manage and monitor KPIs including reporting, taking appropriate action to ensure that all targets are achieved
  • Work with and support the account's central and field based teams
  • Attend all meetings, as required
  • Identify, develop and implement strategic improvement
  • Monitor current market trends to identify opportunities for growth
  • Work closely with internal departments within Booker Retail Partners, to co-ordinated all major change, and ensure it fits together in a deliverable plan
  • End to end co-ordination of promotions
  • Help to identify New Product Development opportunities and support implementation
  • Review department plans and budgets in line with strategic objectives
  • Review and look for ways to simplify processes

Ideal candidate

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience of a similar role where you have managed multiple layers of stakeholders. Previous experience could be as an Accounts Manager, Key Accounts Manager, Multiple Accounts Manager, Sales Manager, Retail Development Manager, Business Development Manager.

In addition, you'll need to have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, the ability to build strong working relationships across multiple levels, commercial awareness, understanding of consumer retail, experience of implementing change and managing performance.

Due to the field based nature of the role, it's essential you have a full driving licence. At times, there may be a requirement for overnight stays.
