An Exciting opportunity has arisen for band 5 Staff Nurses!

On the Medical Assessment Unit we are rapidly developing and becoming a forward thinking ward with an established nursing team who strive to provide an excellent standard of care to all patients.

We are looking to appoint dynamic individuals with strong interpersonal skills that will look forward to the challenges of nursing patients who have a variety of acute medical problems.

This role would be suited to an individual who is highly motivated, committed and enthusiastic, have strong clinical skills and a desire to develop and consolidate knowledge and skills in caring for patients.

We will provide you with a full induction to the unit, accessible support and advice from the Medical Directorate Team. We will provide extensive on-going training and personal development with annual appraisals.

If you are successful in obtaining a position with our Trust which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check. As a registered body with the DBS, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will conduct the administration of this application on your behalf and the cost will be recovered from your salary, either as a one-off payment or over 3 months. Currently the charges made by the Disclosure and Barring Service are - Standard DBS check £30.20 and Enhanced DBS check £48.20. The level of check required depends on the role that you have been offered.
