Future plans

We are developing our future strategy, which will focus on providing the highest quality mental health and learning disability services.

As part of this, our community (physical health) services in Bury, Oldham, Rochadale (adult services) and Trafford will be moving to a new NHS Provider in 2019. For Bury, Oldham, Rochdale (adult services) this will take place on 1 July 2019.

We have been very proud to run community (physical health) services over the last seven years, but we believe there are other provider organisations better positioned to enable these community services to achieve more for the benefit of local people. We are working closely with our staff and colleagues in the new provider organisations to ensure the smoothest possible transfer.

Healthy Young Minds, Oldham are looking for professionals who want to join us in working within CAMHS services for children, young people and their families. Our vision is for our local community to be well-equipped to support children and young people, the adults of tomorrow, to grow up with good emotional health and well-being. Where children, young people, families or professionals feel concerned for a child's mental health we want to be sure that they can get high quality advice and expertise about how to help, quickly and with minimum fuss. Where treatments are needed we will promote access to them and work with others to offer wider support within community and school settings.

We will be working closely with our partners in education, children's services and the 3rd sector to achieve the recently developed ambitious Local Transformation Plan for CAMHS services. This plan provides us with the guide and resources to begin delivering our vision of having CAMHS workers available in new ways, for example attached to every school in our area, embedded in our multi-agency assessment hub and working closely with children's universal and targeted services in each of our locality areas.

You will be joining a vibrant, established and well-trained multi-disciplinary team where values based, high quality care delivery is integral to all decision making. The team enjoy working together, setting new challenges and jointly celebrating success.

The support, development and well-being of our workforce are the foundations on which we will grow our services to ensure children and young people get the best care. We have strong links with local universities and are active in the North West CYP IAPT Collaborative which allows access to training in CBT, IPT, Systemic Family Practice, Parenting and Service Leadership and Transformation. You will receive robust clinical supervision in a range of modalities both individually and with peers to help you achieve the high standards of care we deliver. Your development is our development; we will invest in you and your future.

Are you an energetic, skilled mental health professional? Are you somebody that relishes change and service development? Do you see the opportunity to positively influence a young person's emotional health and well-being as a privilege? If so,we want you to join us on our journey to be the best we can be for our community.
