To continue this commitment to making our customers successful in all applications and cases, we are building the team as part of sales and are hiring a Technical Account Manager (United Kingdom) to enable our customer both pre and post -sale.As the Technical Account Manager based in the UK, you will:Function as a primary technical resource aside the Regional Sales Manager, driving awareness and uptake of FLIR Systems value proposition and technical expertise during sales engagements and with our existing clientsWork closely with the Regional Sales Manager to assess customer requirements, translating them into a vision with a specific outcome that the customer believes in and that can be fulfilled by FLIRMaintain the existing sales demo systems and configure the systems as needed to complete sales demos. Proactively develop and design new techniques and use-case scenarios to better demonstrate our products and to illustrate the business impacts for our customersAssist the Regional Sales manager in creating and developing strong relationships with customers and their organizations including working to extend contacts with leadership and other divisionsTrain new customers to a high level of proficiency as related to maintaining and operating their FLIR products purchased. Additionally, 'refresh' train existing customers as required, ensuring they remain 'current' and effective in their ability to operate our equipmentPromptly respond to technical inquiries from in-region customers, helping to troubleshoot their issues. In complex cases, this will also include engaging others at FLIR to ensure a customer's technical concerns are effectively and quickly resolved.Remain as a key technical contact for the end customer, keeping them engaged and updated throughout the resolution processCollaborate daily with others on the sales team to partner with the customer's senior stakeholders to develop the solution roadmap, and assist the customer with articulating this strategy internally for project approvalsServe as a customer champion, reporting market challenges back from the field so that FLIR can further align with the needs of our customersRoutinely follow up with all existing customers in region, ensuring they are successfully using our products and that FLIR is there to support themKeep updated regarding FLIR's product roadmap, new software releases, bug fixes, and regional regulations to ensure our customers are kept in the know and current in their operational capabilitiesWhat You BringFive or more years of experience in related field or customer support engineeringEngineering degree, skilled in both software and hardware, ranging from embedded systems through UI, mechanical, electronic and RF engineering considered a strong assetAbility and flexibility to travel within the UK region up to 50% of the timePassion for getting the best product to market and working with a dynamic team in a fast-paced industryStrong customer relationships, communication, and attention to detail which are critical to success in this roleExperience and comfort in collaborating with all stakeholders in a highly technical, R&D-driven organizationStrong written and verbal communication skills, with a bias to err on the side of over-communication to ensure understanding and alignmentHighly responsive to customer inquiries and support requirementsTechnical support experience, helping customers to troubleshoot issues in fieldCustomer focused, with the ability to leverage relationships at our Canadian Head Office in order to ensure our prospects and customers are looked after Background in technical demonstrations Experience supporting / working with Military and Police customers as related to technologyPrior work experience in the following fields is an asset:Aviation (manned or unmanned)Sustaining engineering of advanced technologies in electronics or precision electro-mechanicsApplications engineeringField supportTrainingFLIR and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
