Job descriptionA career within Microsoft Consulting services, will provide the opportunity to help our clients evaluate their supporting technologies needed to engage effectively with their customers, supply chain and employees. We contribute to PwC's value proposition of strategy led and technology enabled by aligning our Advisory industry focus with Microsoft's key technologies such as Dynamics AX, Dynamics365, Office365, Azure and Business Intelligence Analytics.ResponsibilitiesAs a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and aboveBe involved in the financial management of clientsBe actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clientsContribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumenDevelop strategies to solve complex technical challengesAssist in the management and delivering of large projectsTrain, coach, and supervise staffKeep up to date with local and national business and economic issuesContinue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brandThe OpportunityPwC are looking for experienced Microsoft Dynamics ERP Solution Architects who are excited by the opportunity to own and execute the delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementations.The Solutions Architect is responsible for leading the delivery of our Microsoft Dynamics solutions, designing business-focused solutions using a holistic approach, understanding all systems involved and the impact proposed solutions will have on those systems. The role will be involved in the complete application lifecycle and will ensure best practice is adopted, providing technical leadership in projects, working closely with project leadership to guide technical resources to achieve the development and delivery of the solution. The ideal candidate will communicate effectively; therefore, will be equally comfortable talking with business owners as with programmers and infrastructure resources.Responsibilities and DutiesLead the design and development of business processes that enhance the out of the box Dynamics 365 functionalityIdentify and recommend customisations and enhancementsProvide gap-analyses, functional specifications for F&O enhancements and integrations to other business applicationsProvide expert application configuration and design by optimising features, user experience, data integrity, and system performanceDrive the effective transition of requirements to delivery, ensuring a clear and complete understanding of the requirements thereby ensuring successful deliveryPreparation of implementation documentation to ensure the effective support of the applicationCollaborate, manage and lead meetings with Functional/Business Leads and Technical Leads/Developers to ensure each phase of an implementation/development is executed with the solutions provided or recommended in a timely mannerIdentify risks and mitigate or communicate as necessaryExperience of pre-sales including preparing and delivering product demonstrations to prospective clientsEngage with project teams to develop best practices in an effort to integrate and improve user experienceDefine training needs within the team and coach other team membersProactively extend self-knowledge of the Microsoft solution stackExperience10+ years ERP delivery with at least 5 years in Dynamics AX2012/F&O, from a functional, technical and architectural standpointExperience with Dynamics implementation in a Lead Design role7+ years' experience in facilitation, analysis and prototyping7+ years' understanding of and primary responsibility for solutions within Finance, Projects or HR5+ years' experience with multi-phase, enterprise-wide implementationsSolid understanding of interoperability issues and the strengths and weaknesses of platforms and productsExperience of enterprise scale ERP implementationsExperience of mentoring junior staffPrevious experience working with a Microsoft Gold PartnerAttributesUniversity graduate with a relevant degree within a computational or business disciplineSkilled in the technical capabilities of Dynamics, Including appropriate certificationStrong and proven experience of implementing Microsoft Dynamics AX or F&ODeep and broad capability of Microsoft Dynamics function including Financials or Project Management and AccountingExceptional understanding of both the technical and functional capabilities of DynamicsExcellent presentation and demonstration skillsBusiness process mapping, modelling and documentation knowledgeAdept at Business Requirement Analysis with a focus on championing process change over development to simplify deliveryTraining in project management methodologies (such as PRINCE2, Agile or Scrum) would be beneficialConfident and effective communication skillsThinks clearly and calmly under pressureInvestigates problems to establish real or hidden causesSolves complex problems with creative solutionsPlaces emphasis on user satisfactionAbility to prioritise and successfully manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneouslyMust have the ability to work independently as well as within a team environmentAbout PwC
