Primary Graduate Intervention Tutor - KS2

Intervention Tutors enable students who are underachieving to reach their target attainment levels by providing coaching and activities outside of the main activities of the wider student group.

Typically, the role of Intervention Tutor will include the following duties:

• Leading 1:1 or small group sessions for students in a core subject area
• Planning and preparing intervention sessions
• Marking and assessing work
• Monitoring and reviewing the progress of students
• Attending departmental meetings
• Supporting revision sessions

About this Primary Intervention Tutor role in Lowestoft:

• Starting September 2019
• Role lasts until July 2020 in the first instance
• £60-£70 per day
• Opportunities to remain at school to start teacher training from September 2020
• Phonics and Numeracy focus
• Working closely with Year 6 in preparation of SATs

What is our partner school looking for?

• Strong academics - a 2:1 or First-Class Honours degree and at least a C or above in Maths, English and Science GCSEs
• Confident and enthusiastic personality - the ability to fully engage students, helping them to understand the concepts being asked of them
