Buildings Construction Manager (Logistics Park) - Permanent - Essex - circa £60,000

This is an excellent opportunity to join a distinguished Port operator as a Project Manager.

Responsibilities include:

* Procure and appoint, lead and manage the design teams for the park buildings and other associated park infrastructure work.

* Manage the tendering, procurement and subsequent construction delivery of park and some port buildings.

* Ensure that all buildings are delivered to programme, budget and technical requirements.

* Supervise the construction of buildings including the co-ordination/integration of Civil, Structural, Architectural and M&E disciplines.

* Carry out master planning and feasibility studies of prospective buildings including preliminary programme, costings and design solutions.

* Manage the resolution of claims and other contractual items on projects.

* Appoint where and if necessary, then manage the legal and planning and other consultants within their areas of responsibility.

* Interface with the engineering internal and external teams on site preparation and infrastructure on and off site.

You will ideally hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering (Civil, Structural or Architectural) or Project/Construction Management. Although qualification by experience will also be considered:

* Extensive industrial shed experience including refrigerated/cold stores. Experience to be from feasibility/master planning stage through design and end delivery to the tenant including tenants fit out.

* Understanding the project and business goals and to help to meet them.

* Understanding of financial information and reporting.

* Ability to manage tendering and procurement process for various stages of projects.

* Strong engineering technical knowledge of similar facilities and roles skills including work in brownfield sites.
