Aspire Cambridge are recruiting for an Accounts Manager on behalf of our client based in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.

Main Responsibilities:

Help in preparation of Year-end Accounts and Management Accounts
Sending communication to clients including management of IRIS and client on-boarding
Virtual CFO include adding receipts
Payroll including entering information from emails and spreadsheets, checking information and generating payslips
Pensions - auto-enrolment tasks including setting clients upon systems, calculating required information and entering into payroll
Quarterly VAT Returns - requesting information, compiling returns, obtaining client authorisation and entering onto HMRC online.
Helping clients with VAT and PAYE Registrations
Liaising with HMRC on client's behalf
Person Specification:


Understanding of Double Entry bookkeeping (essential)
Ability to work from trial balance and year-end accounts as well as corporation tax (preferred)
Understanding of Payroll processes (preferred)
Good spoken and written English (essential)
Knowledge of systems ( Xero and IRIS- preferred)

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
Willingness to learn

AAT qualified or equivalent (preferred)
Working towards ACCA (preferred and will be supported by the company)
A-Level or equivalent (Preferred)

Accountancy practice: 5 years (required)
IRIS (beneficial)
Xero (beneficial)
Payroll experience (beneficial)
Start: ASAP
Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, full time
Salary: Up to £40,000
