Job description for the Tax Junior

Tax Junior duties will include:
  • Tax return preparation for a wide variety of clients, including income tax, capital gains tax calculations and multiple rental accounts
  • Assisting with HMRC enquiries and compliance checks
  • P11Ds, PSAs, ATED, coding notices and assisting with sundry tax matters
  • Preparation of Tax compliance documents for clients where required
  • Review of taxation notices and prepare correspondence to clients

As your role develops, we will offer you scope to work in more structural and advisory areas as well as offering you the opportunity of future progression and development, including full study support towards ATT and potentially your CTA qualification.

Requirements for the Tax Junior
  • You will ideally hold a degree in a relevant discipline, however those with relevant GCSE's and/or experience will be considered
  • Keen eye for detail, teamed with the ability to spot any inaccuracies or duplications and provide resolutions
  • Strong MS office skills, particularly Excel
  • Efficiency and accuracy with a flexible approach to your work
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work to deadlines
  • You will be confident in working to a high standard
  • High level time management skills
  • The ability to self-manage and work autonomously
  • The ability to work with prestigious clients who require complete confidentiality
