The objective is to be UK HR Generalist, as well as manage the European HR team to deliver a first class HR service to the countries within Europe. The role is based in Redhill and offers a fantastic opportunity to get involved in all aspects of HR.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate within the parameters of the agreed Group people plan to deliver the requirements of the function and delivery of the HR strategy (locally)Build and maintain strong working relationships with the local HR teams to manage and engage with them effectively, and provide support, trusted advice and challenge thinking as neededBe the first point of contact for UK HR and ER matters - this role holder is responsible for business partnering the UK as well as managing the European HR teamBuild and utilise a deep understanding of the local client group (what they do, the commercial levers, their strategic priorities, pipelines of potential work etc) to deliver the best service possibleAssist in the delivery of Group HR projects / change initiatives to support the people strategyAnalyse management information to identify local themes and trends, suggest HR interventions to address these and act accordingly. Ensure all data and records within Europe are GDPR compliant, and filed in an organised manner according to Group standardsChampion the business culture, values and D&I agenda in all activitiesManage the consistent delivery of the performance management, salary and bonus, and talent management reviews through local HRWork with Group HR colleagues to ensure the HR Operations, Learning & Development, and Talent Acquisition policy is implemented consistently and effectivelyResolve and advise on complex and/or high risk people issues to deliver commercial and pragmatic outcomesProvide coaching support to business leaders in effective and successful people managementProvide HR support in company-wide restructuring / acquisitions / ER initiativesDirect reports at present: 5Experience required:Deep and broad HR & employment law knowledge and expertise within EuropeDemonstrable commercial acumen and understanding of the businessAbility to work autonomously, with minimal oversight, to deliver agreed plansStrong client relationship skills and influencing skillsStrong collaboration skills, understanding how to operate in a complex matrixed organisationSpoken European languages would be an advantage4 areas of competence:Emergency responderStrategic PartnerOperations ManagerEmployee mediatorIf you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!COMPANY BACKGROUNDFounded in Ireland in 1985, Planet (formally Fintrax) is one of the world's leading Tax Free Shopping ('TFS'), Dynamic Currency Conversion ('DCC'), Credit Card Processing and point of sale technology companies providing international shoppers, merchants, partner banks and acquirers with easy, fast and reliable service.
