Senior Clinical Pharmacist (General Practice)

  • Up to £51k per annum (pro-rata)
  • Location: Chorley, Lancashire
  • Full Time (37.5 Hours)
  • Working Pattern Flexible

Chorley Central - Primary Care Network (PCN) is a group of six practices who have been working closely and effectively together for the last 3 years to deliver enhanced services to our practice populations.

We are looking to develop a team of up to 5 clinical pharmacists over the next few years. This position presents a unique opportunity to be involved in this journey at the outset and play a key role in how our vision takes shape.

Initially the role will be very project focused looking to optimise prescribing across the PCN in key areas such as Diabetes, COPD and Asthma. The role will also focus on improving collaboration between practices in the PCN as well as community pharmacists to share learning and improve systems to improve safety. This position will play a key part in the recruitment, mentoring and managing of clinical pharmacists as and when they join our PCN.

As a candidate you will have:-

  • Current registration with the GPhC and ideally a post-graduate clinical diploma.
  • Independent prescriber status.
  • Previous experience of working in hospital, primary care, community or mental health pharmacy settings for at least 2 years post-qualification.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • An enthusiastic, flexible approach to team working.
  • Use of a car to enable multi-site working.
