You will do this by delivering leading-edge technology to build and deliver unparalleled customised insights that enrich both the performance of businesses and the lives of consumers.About the JobAs our new Account Manager (Telco), you will work closely with the senior sales team on large strategic clients and to ensure the maintenance of existing contracts and revenues.The Account Manager (Telco) has specific accountability for improving profitability across our Telco vertical. In order to achieve this, you will work with colleagues from all disciplines to develop and implement strategies that add new value for both Equifax and its customers, whilst constantly redeveloping and repositioning sales strategies to achieve substantial growth.Although the primary focus will be on account management, you will also be expected to win and develop new business and future customer opportunities from clients. As such, you will work closely with the business development team to provide account management support for new business development and tender activities and will be targeted on driving new revenue from existing accounts.Responsibilities of the Account Manager (Telco) include:You will spend the majority of time with existing customers on sales and post sales activities, creating seamless customer centricity and interactionYou will handle the provision of all day-to-day support for strategic accounts, ensuring all ad hoc queries are met and resolved in a professional, timely and efficient mannerYou will create and drive positive relationships with all key contacts and decision makers within each account in order to maximise business opportunities and ensure retention of clientsYou will build new sales opportunities and execute sales process from presentation through to contract negotiations and close, including:shaping value add client solutionsrelating it to the customer's businesscreating compelling proposalsunderstanding the competitor's strengths and weaknesses and differentiating proposalsproviding technical solution developmentbuilding strong business casesYou will understand client requirements and subsequently develop and implement appropriate services and account sales plans to win significant revenues and drive user adoption of Equifax solutionsYou will lead multi‐functional teams and work with Equifax Consultants to formulate and create sales opportunities and deliver client solutionsYou will develop, implement and own financial plans and forecasts by client division and product group. Complete forecasts, pipeline and account reporting accurately and on timeYou will maintain an active awareness of the market trends (economic, regulatory, competitive and technology), to identify business opportunities, actively feeding back to Equifax ManagementYou will have oversight of projects being undertaken on the client's behalf. This involves participation in project meetings and being a contributor to execution/deliveryYou will contribute to overall Account and Vertical strategy through understanding Equifax business processes and constructively identifying changes that enhance performanceRequirements Required Skills:Previous account management and/or new business sales experience required within the telecommunications industry or Credit Bureau / Credit Reference Agency environmentAbility to lead an account with a potential revenue of up to £1mDemonstrable resilience and performance in driving revenue and negotiating deals with long sales cyclesAbility to handle accounts with one or two lines of businessDemonstrable over-performance sales track recordExperience with pricing negotiationsAbility to undertake a high volume of outbound callsDemonstrable best practice and successes in responding to ITTs / RFPsExperience in presenting to small and large groups of clientsPreferred Skills:Knowledge of Consumer, Commercial and Marketing data (highly desirable)What Else?
