Science teacher for Sept 2019 - permanent role - Isle of Wight, Hants - discounts by ferry - MPS/UPS

I am working with an inspiring, large & thriving college for 11-19 years on the beautiful island of Isle of Wight, known for its mild climate, stunning coastal scenery, and verdant landscapes. The Science Department is looking for outstanding, passionate teachers who are specialist in teaching Science, which includes Chemistry, Physics or Biology up to A Level.

This college had a huge amount of refurbishment over the years and in particularly the Science Department. The newly refurbished department has 9 laboratories set up to deliver a highly practical innovative curriculum and continuing to invest in the latest technology, especially to support students learning.

Secondary teachers will need to have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to other members of staff and people in the school.
In order to succeed you will need to have qualified teacher status, NQT's or be looking to complete your induction year.
The role will require planning and preparing lessons, as well as setting appropriate homework and coursework and have regular contact with students.

Working as a Science Teacher for Hays will also allow you to have access to a number of partnership schools that would be inaccessible by any other means, and you will be given the opportunity to focus on your progression with the support of you Head of Department and with your Hays Consultant.
You will teach and be responsible for developing the students and guiding them ways to improve.
