On behalf of Lloyds Banking Group, AMS are looking for an Senior Accountant for 6 months based in Bristol.

Purpose of this role:

The investment accounting team sits within insurance finance. The function is to look after all the accounting for investment funds that sit within Pensions and general insurance business. Day to day activity is outsourced, and the responsibility of this team is to oversee the accounting done by them and complete all the financial reporting.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Contributing to Balance Sheet reconciliations using system Integrity.
  • Reconciling outputs from the Asset Data Warehouse to the General Ledger;
  • Posting journals relating to Investment Balances not captured correctly by source systems;
  • Contributing to Analytical review of Investment Balance Sheet and P&L;
  • Contributing to Regulatory Reporting for Investment Balances (Solvency II) on a quarterly basis;
  • Use of General Ledgers and Consolidation system GDRS;
  • Supporting Month-end and Quarter-end Reporting cycles for the Insurance Business;

In order to be successful in this role you will possess all or some of the below criteria:
  • Previous experience of Financial Reporting and finance systems - SAP or Oracle
  • Insurance and investment experience - general financial services.
  • Strong customer service focus, working with stakeholders including Insurance Divisional Finance, Central Finance and Actuarial teams using Investment Data
  • Experience of working in a large group - multiple legal entities, divisions, multiple sites
