Graduate Accounts Assistant| Dudley Area | up to £21,000 |Temp to Perm

The Company

My client is a successful expanding professional service business based within the Dudley area, who are keen to recruit an Accountancy and Finance Graduate to work as part of their busy, friendly and vibrant finance team.

The Opportunity

Working as part of their busy, and fast-paced finance team, you will initially look to gain experience in all aspects of core transactional finance, across several disciplines to include:

Sales Ledger

Assisting the Sales Ledger Team to ensure the Sales Ledger is accurately maintained and process deadlines are met:
  • Processing of a variety of transactions accurately
  • Raising system generated invoices
  • Reconciliation of accounts, checking against budgets
  • Month end balancing of the sales ledger to the general ledger
  • Other ad hoc duties including refunds, credit notes, bad debt write offs and purchase ledger recharges

Purchase Ledger

Assisting the Purchase Ledger team in respect of all payments through the Purchase Ledger:
  • Ensuring that invoices processed are correctly calculated, approved and coded
  • To check and reconcile supplier statements to purchase ledger accounts
  • To liaise with suppliers concerning invoice queries and take appropriate action to resolve issues identified


Assisting Cashiering team to ensure that the Ledger is accurately maintained, and process deadlines met:
  • Cash allocation across multiple bank accounts accurately
  • Run daily cash reports
  • Monthly bank reconciliations to be completed
  • Inter-company reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate month end procedures and reporting

Personal Profile

You will be an immediately available Accountancy and Finance Graduate with at least 6 months industry experience and possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the business, both internally and externally. You will be resilient and have a willingness to learn and demonstrate a flexible approach to working, coupled with good system skills including advanced excel.
