The Role:

Our client is an established organisation with ambitious plans to grow. To support the company with these growth plans, we have an exciting vacancy for an Accounts Assistant.

You will be part of a team responsible for the administration and inputting information into Sage Line 50 Package. Dealing with sales / purchase ledgers and bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

The Accounts Assistant will report to the Financial Controller, working within Group policies, and key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Posting sales and purchase invoices
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, including the reconciliation of supplier statements, intercompany recharges and balances.
  • Maintain deposits/sales commissions tracker for each development
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements including VAT returns.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in the production of statutory accounts
  • Ensure company standards, policies and procedures are maintained
  • Maintain a flexible approach in order to accommodate changing needs and growth of the department
  • Any other ad-hoc tasks deemed reasonable of your role

Knowledge and experience:
  • Extensive sales and purchase ledger experience using Sage Line 50
  • A strong user of MS Excel
  • AAT qualified
  • Excellent communications skills both orally and written
  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise
  • Keen, enthusiastic, team player with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
