Reliability Engineer -Rotating Equipment

* £40,000 - £50,000 + Pension + Benefits

The Opportunity

Reporting into the senior supervisor you will provide technical field support relating to product reliability at various customer levels and disciplines. You will be a key player in conducting thorough technical investigations producing factual and detailed technical reports for presentation and customer submission.

You will utilize your Maintenance and Reliability knowledge combined various methodologies such as FMEA, FMECA, RAMS, HAZOP, Vulnerability Analysis, RCA, and LCC to deliver high quality, effective solutions product reliability.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Engineering responsible for carrying out technical investigations for dry gas seal failures

* Ability to provide technical solutions to field problems

* Compilation of detailed engineering reports

* Constantly maintaining the companies professional image via effective communication

* Responsible for internal and external co-ordination cross-functionally in line with project requirements

* Able to create and work to a plan, delivering on time and to expectations

* Utilising project planning strategies to ensure stakeholder are apprised of project progress.

The person

We need a Reliability Engineer with a driven passion for technology and improvements to company products.

Candidates must be enthusiastic about maintenance and reliability. They must be self-motivated, results orientated and possess excellent communication skills.

This position will suit an engineer with a solid mechanical background and a knack for problem-solving, a clear communicator and team member. Any previous experience in root cause analysis and associated techniques will prove advantageous.

You shall possess strong planning and organizational skills to meet project timelines and budgets, and use your initiative to solve problems, make informed decisions and seek ways to achieve the best outcome.

Your willingness to show flexibility around different assignments will be an important consideration as will your ability to travel.

Required Skills

* Mechanical Engineering background.

* Experience with Rotating Equipment would be an advantage.

* Solid communication skills.

* Commercially aware.

* Experience of technical report writing with presentation skills.

* Ability to read P&ID and General Arrangement Drawings.

* Experience with failure analysis and RCA techniques is a strong advantage.

* Willingness to travel globally to support project requirements.

* Ability to work independently and drive team goals.

* Familiar with stakeholder management.

* Timely support of customers in relation to the technical needs of their equipment.

* Establish and maintain relationships with customers supporting on technical queries.


* Must be willing to Travel

* 2-5 years' plus experience in a similar role

* Master's degree in Engineering or Business
