Job title: FMCG Channel Manager/Director
Salary: Up to £70,000 base salary (dependant on experience) + OTE

An opportunity to join this business has arisen for a capable and professional Channel Manager/Director. Having extensive knowledge of the FMCG industry, the successful candidate will be operating at a senior level in order to bring market knowledge to this new role. You will form a close and effective working partnership with the Global Sales Director, working cohesively to set and achieve revenue growth plans.You must demonstrate leadership traits and have experience of operationally managing a team, as well as the ability to promote positive performance and motivate people.
Briefly, the role includes:
The role will primarily involve devising strategy with the Sales Director, planning, marketing and executing the same to the highest standard.
Responsibility for creating the infrastructure within the FMCG team
MOverseeing and managing the FMCG team to include key account managers and ultimately be responsible for pursuing new business and growing existing contacts to deliver maximum ROI
Overseeing key accounts including key account management where required
Setting appropriate Channel Plans, Account Plans and JVPs to pursue aggressive growth
Creating a sales engine to pursue new business and identifying opportunities in all markets
Leading the FMCG team and carrying out line management duties to the highest standard
Build and maintain relationships with FMCG partners
Plan sales strategies and work closely with marketing to promote new and existing products in FMCG
Develop strong relationship with key accounts with the ultimate objective to grow the FMCG area.
Responsible for the KPI of open market business: Revenue, P&L, Market Share etc
Achieve the agreed territory sales targets and KPIs in line with the term performance to get the FMCG market contributing towards overall strategy.
Manage the financial budget set for marketing and other activities in the FMCG sector
Establish, develop and maintain professional business relationships with stakeholders
Research and locate sales opportunities and engage with these
Build strong relationships with internal teams, external indirect teams, chains, distributors and buyers.
