We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join us in Peterborough.

In this role you'll act as the finance contact for routine and ad hoc commercial and analytical work, leveraging business knowledge to produce high quality insight for the area. This is an exciting and high-profile role that will see you working across both our range of new global products, as well our Travellers Cheques.

To be successful in the role, you will be an experienced Finance professional with FCA and regulatory reporting experience. You will also have strong people management skills and enjoy leading small to mid-size teams.
How you'll make an impact:
  • Provide a comprehensive accounting and decision support service for Products and Travellers Cheques
  • Manage and co-ordinate the products finance activities covering; month end close, regulatory reporting, statutory reporting, planning, and contract administration
  • Be responsible for the management and completion of month end close for all Products and Travellers Cheque activities
  • Work closely with the offshore GL support team
  • Ensure contractual external reporting requirements are adhered to
  • Develop strong working relationships with external business partners
  • Report to the Board of Directors and highlight key operational events and risks
  • Develop sound professional working relationships with colleagues, business staff and management, building their confidence and acquiring an understanding of the business
  • Manage financial relationship with programme managers, Heads of Finance Globally & Group Finance
  • Produce accurate, timely and relevant MI analysis which can be used by the business to aid decision making
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to a large team of finance and non-finance professionals

Our successful (Products and Travellers Cheque) Finance Manager will:
  • Hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA,CIMA,ACCA)
  • Have experience managing a team of 10-12 people
  • Have FCA and regulatory reporting experience
  • Have experience of planning and delivering the year end audit for a business unit
  • Have solid experience in the production and review of statutory accounts under both UKGAAP and IFRS
  • Have deep experience of business partnering or decision support
  • Have the confidence & ability to influence at a senior level
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate analytics into business insights
  • Have the ability to grasp industry and business wide strategic issues & trends and translate into practical reporting solutions
  • Have the ability to drive continuous improvement opportunities
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities in line with Travelex's The Deal and experience of managing and developing teams of professional staff
  • Experience working with and managing an offshore finance support team
