Purpose Statement:

As a Brand Marketing Finance Manager you will be the bridge between the Finance and Marketing functions. The purpose of the role is to lead the development of commercial awareness within the marketing function and the development of best practices to drive the effectiveness of marketing decisions.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • Leads the financial preparation of the annual marketing company plan and the financial resource allocation decisions based on the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing investments.
  • Clearly defines risk guidelines to ensure that controls are in place within Brand Marketing activities (e.g. Agency, resource allocation, and pricing) and assist in the development and implementation of practical procedures;
  • Identifies and fulfils opportunities for improvement of Marketing and Finance processes including planning and resource allocation, information systems and procedures
  • Ensures support of the commercial decisions by striving to identify new methods for evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing investments and improving brand P&Ls.
  • Ensures accurate and timely financial management reporting and the execution of a robust forecasting process to support commercial decisions
  • Acts as an advisor and business partner to key external / internal stakeholders in order to influence initiatives, in line with the business strategy

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • First degree qualification in Finance or other business-related fields
  • Proven previous working experience in Finance, in a complex matrix organization and a key account environment
  • Strong corporate and commercial acumen
  • Business partnering approach, having previous experience in proving the use of financial information to support business strategy and decisions
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of marketing principles and strategy in the areas of portfolio strategy, spend effectiveness, brand & channel profitability etc.
  • Previous experience in a FMCG company is highly desirable
