Market Development Manager

Role Purpose

The Market Development Manager is responsible for setting the Division's direction and strategy in order to improve the market position of our products and solutions. They will work with the Product Management Team Leader, Marketing Communication Manager and the Solutions Management Team Leader to implement clear objectives to grow brand awareness, to develop innovative solutions and to increase our overall profile. They will work closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure alignment with the Divisional Vision and be responsible for managing the team on a day to day basis and ensuring that the team's overall objectives are met.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

* Work closely with the Marketing & Operations Group Manager

* Line management responsibility for Product Management, Marketing Communications and Solutions Management teams

* Develop future market vision

* Development, setting and implementing the Division's "go to market" strategies

* Develop innovative solutions within the chosen vertical and OEM markets

* Co-ordination of UK product launches with your teams

* Work with the Marketing Communications Manager to improve lead generation

* Interfacing with our European Business Group (EBG) on future needs

* Ensure effective monthly performance reporting is in place for the team

* Work with the senior management team to determine the teams overall strategy and to set clear goals and objectives

* Report team's key activities to your Line Manager on a monthly basis

* Understand and comply with all relevant company policies

Special Features of the Role

This role is based at the UK Head Office. The role requires a valid driving licence, flexible working hours, as well as commercial and technical competencies.

Skills Profile

Overall budget management and optimisation

Have proven experience of managing teams

Ideally have a background in product management

Have a working knowledge of B2B marketing

Experience of automation products and solutions

Be able to motivate and delegate

Be able to address performance issues where necessary

This is a demanding role and will require a mature and consistent approach
