We are currently recruiting for a Electrical BTI Engineer for our site in Samlesbury, BB2 7LF

Hours 40 hours per week ( Shift 1 (Apply online only), Shift 2 (Apply online only))

Job Purpose:

To carry out BTI testing of the site electrical services infrastructure as part of a multi-disciplined team. To carry out electrical repairs / maintenance as required, as this role covers both reactive and planned preventative maintenance. The individual is expected to be able to manage his/her own workload. Making our customers' lives easier.

This role will be primarily based at BAE Samlesbury, which comprises of approximately 122 buildings. The contract scope includes HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fabric, Water Hygiene and Grounds Maintenance.This role involves direct interaction with the customer's employees so strong customer and service excellence skills are required.Key performance indicators (KPI's) will drive this position and knowledge of them will be an integral part of the role. These indicators will be established between the customer / EMCOR and cascaded to the team. This position is a day shift role.

Principal Accountabilities:

Assist and direct specialist subcontractors as required.

Issue relevant Operational Permits.

Electrical testing of distribution boards.

Conduct Pat Testing when requested.

Carry out inspection and testing of electrical circuits and distribution boards.

Carry out all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) work.

Carry out Reactive requests where defined by the CMMS.

Periodically carry out checks and report on maintenance and insurance work status for the defined area of responsibility.

Follow Lean working principles.

Apply the ethics of best practice asset management in accordance with the PAS 55 specification.

Identify and report all asset associated issues including risk.

Identify work practices which could be improved and raise the necessary approvals to implement required changes.

Ensure that the customer is kept informed about the progress of their work requests and ensure the CMMS system is updated with quality information and comments.

Ensure that the Maintenance team on-site is kept fully informed and aware of any project activities that are happening within all areas.

Ensure that all isolations relevant to project work are undertaken by the Maintenance team personnel and recorded accordingly

It will be the responsibility of the Maintenance team to promote good practice in health and safety, ensuring that new directives and methods of work to comply with health and safety regulations are understood and adopted by the Maintenance team.

To undertake all duties in a safe, tidy and responsible manner in accordance with H&S requirements.

Comply with the site security requirements, H&S procedures and EMCOR's internal audit processes and policies.

Support other team members should it be necessary.

To follow EMCOR's Code of Conduct.

Comply with the Client's company rules and maintain a high standard of discipline.

To carry out other duties as may be reasonably requested from time-to-time by site management or the Client

Technical expertise, qualifications or apprenticeship in a craft skill or engineering discipline would be an important pre-requisite of the role.

Knowledge of key operational procedures e.g. time sheets, planned maintenance systems, Quality and Health & Safety.

Substantial operational and technical experience with demonstrated potential.

Experience of positively dealing with the resolution of customer problems within specific contracts.

Demonstrated 'hands-on' technical expertise in a number of key operational areas.
