This exciting role offers an the experienced Electrical Maintenance Team Leader the opportunity to work as part of a 3 shift pattern, overseeing the all aspects of Electrical Maintenance and having autonomy over a variety of projects within a an automated manufacturing environment.

The Successful candidate will be

- A Time Served Electrical Maintenance Technician, with 17/18th Ed Regulations
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to manage and motivate a small team of engineers
- Have a strong understanding of Control Systems, with the ability to interrogate, re-programme and fault find from Allen Bradley, Siemens or Omeron PLC's
- Be computer literate and have experience of Lean Maintenance
- Be from a manufacturing environment, with experience of production lines.
- Have a pro-active approach to planned and preventative maintenance
- Have experience of working with project teams

Key responsibilities for the position include:

- Installation and problem analysis on a range of equipment and assets ranging from modern drives and control through to equipment 30 years old
- PLC maintenance (programming, analysis and set up)
- Managing a team of engineers including task delegation, decision making responsibilities, shift briefings, performance appraisals, complete return to work interviews and hold first line disciplinary hearings as required
- Ability to lead and drive continuous improvement of the department, systems and assets
- Understanding and demonstrating tools and methods for lean engineering and manufacturing
- Working to and carrying out 5's audits
- Leading small value projects
- Contributing and being part of a project team when requested
- Ensuring health and safety is always adhered to on shift
- Understanding and working to key regulations, PUWER, DSEAR, LOLOR, Pressure systems, Electricity at work regulations, H&S at work act
- Carrying out Risk Assessments
- Ability to plan schedule and prioritise work requests
- Creating weekly, weekend and shut down plans
- Attending morning factory communication meetings representing the engineering department.
- Effectively creating daily shift reports
- Creating reports on down time events
- Researching and ordering parts
- Working with and coordinating contractors on site
