An opportunity is available for a Procurement Manager to join the team, based in Bamber Bridge.

The Procurement Manager is responsible for the legal / ethical procurement of all business procurements (save for the execution of project subcontract procurement).

Ensure that all business procurements (including project subcontract procurement) is completed in compliance with the business policy, process and procedures.

Ensure that all business procurements (including project subcontract procurement) is risk assessed and conducted by a competent procurement person.

A Senior Procurement Manager will possess a very thorough and robust understanding of Procurement and Supply Chain and shall follow best practice as outlined within the CIPS.

A Senior Procurement Manager will also be required to support the business in procurement strategy, data management within the supply chain, category management, forming contracts, sourcing, delivering outcomes, logistics and corporate social responsibilities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain an Approved Supplier system

* Provide Organisations of local/national/international strategic importance

* Organisations supplying goods and services necessary to the day to day and adhoc requirements

* Develop long term relationships with strategic organisations

* Act as a strategic partner sponsor, being a focal point (outside of any contractual dispute resolution process) for supply chain complaint/concern

* Audit and continually maintain the Approved Supplier system

* From the audit data, identify and assist continuous improvement and development of SMEs from the strategic organisations

Key Skills and Competencies:

* Ideally with experience of the nuclear industry and wider industry experience

* Excellent negotiating, influencing and relationship management

* Excellent communicator, problem solving and innovative

* Manufacturing / Engineering / Industry experience

* Understanding of design and engineering processes

* Ability to read engineering drawings

Qualifications required:

* Ideally Degree or CIPS qualified

* UK driving licence
