Our client, an international manufacturing engineering business based in the Poole area, is now looking to recruit a Dispatch Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis!!

The successful candidate MUST have a strong background within a similar role, HAVE SOME EXPORT KNOWLEDGE, as well as some supervisory experience too.

Supervising and organising the complete despatch process and maintaining despatch records, including:

1. Preparing paperwork for UK and Export consignments using computer and manual based procedures;

2. Raising Despatch Notes and Sales Ledger invoices using EFACS (ERP) system;

3. Completion of Certificates of Origin and EUR1 movement forms for overseas consignments;

4. Liaising with freight forwarders to arrange collections/deliveries and issuing clearance instructions;

5. Ensuring all Proof of Delivery and Export documentation is completed correctly;

6. Ensuring all Air Waybills, manifests and collection notes are received and correctly stored;

7. Occasional assistance with packing tasks when appropriate;

8. Entering collection information onto invoices;

9. Ensuring a smooth flow of shipment information between Thompson Valves and customer including timely response to e-mails;

10. Providing freight costs to sales personnel for quotation purposes;

11. Arranging shipments and collections of sub-contracted manufactured parts;

12. Preparing letter of credit documentation for presentation to bank.

Essential Experience:

1. Demonstrable experience of export procedures.

2. Experience in supervisory/team leader role.

3. Basic knowledge of accounts systems.

4. Strong PC skills, able to use Microsoft office suite, including but not limited to; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook etc with data input experience.

5. Appreciation of on time delivery and customer response.

6. Excellent organisational skills.

7. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business.

8. High level of attention to detail.

9. Assertiveness.

10. Adaptable to changing needs.

11. Experience of negotiation.

12. Able to work as part of a team and independently
