A unique opportunity to work in an established UK Trade Association and take on the challenge of helping us build and develop this new and exciting role. We are looking for someone who can bring sales and retention experience to our membership department along with fresh ideas for the development and enrichment of our offering. Your contribution will help to retain our existing members whilst pro-actively increasing our member base.

Reporting directly to the Head of Member Relations, this is the ideal role for someone with a proven sales career who is looking to move into a more customer service orientated account management / retention position.

You will be a confident self-starter with excellent people skills who enjoys a challenge and relishes the opportunity to build relationships with a varied and interesting B2B customer base. You will be willing and able to identify and nurture potential new applicants whilst looking after our valued existing membership.

There are also opportunities to attend our award winning shows at the NEC along with attending the varied events that we run for our members across the UK throughout the year.

Duties include:
  • Proactively engaging and rapport building with our members.
  • Increasing member retention
  • Actively seeking out prospective new members
  • Identifying commercial and marketing opportunities
  • Administrative tasks including ensuring that member records are up to date

Additional Information

  • Monday to Friday
  • 9am to 5.15pm

Essential Skills
  • Experience of B2B account management and retention
  • Although not purely a sales role, proven experience of an ability to sell is required
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Organised and with high attention to detail
  • Positive 'can - do' approach
  • Confident dealing with customers
  • Self-motivated and willing to identify and take ownership of new challenges

Desirable Skills
  • Experience of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Dynamics
  • Experience of running, organising or working at events
  • Full UK Driving Licence
