As in-house recruiters for the large Multinational Organisation, DENSO Marston based in West Yorkshire we are looking to recruit a Payroll Assistant to join the team in Human Resources. The role of Payroll Assistant is to provide an end-to-end payroll service, supporting the Payroll Supervisor in processing pay for approximately 700 associates across two separate pay periods.

Key Responsibilities

The Payroll Assistant will support the Payroll Supervisor in all aspects of payroll and time and attendance, these include:
  • Ensuring all time and attendance details are captured across the business, including holidays and absence
  • Using the in house system (Carval) to assist in completing a highly accurate payroll completion
  • Assisting to ensure payroll balances, and reconciliations are completed to a high standard
  • Assisting with queries from stakeholders. These may include the courts, council, tax office and colleagues
  • Dealing with auto enrolment / pension queries, ensuring figures are accurate and balance correctly
  • Ensuring absence information is returned in a timely manner
  • Dealing with queries from colleagues around pay
  • Processing starters and leavers, ensuring accurate information provided
  • Ensuring business sick pay rules within the business are adhered to
  • Ensuring overtime is paid in line with business requirements
  • Supporting the HR team with various activities, as and when required
Skills And Experience
  • Payroll experience is welcomed, ideally gained running multiple pay periods, but not essential
  • Experience of Excel to intermediate level
  • Experience of working in a highly confidential environment
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience of dealing with queries from all levels and backgrounds
  • Previous use of a HR/Payroll system or software is advantageous
  • Preferred manufacturing background, however this is not essential as full training will be provided
Educated to GCSE grade C and above in Maths and English

Working Hours/Benefits
8:30 - 5:00 Mon - Thurs
8:30 - 1:30 Fri
Flexi-time of 30 minutes at either side of the core hours are available Mon - Thurs
