Are you enthusiastic, driven and committed to providing great housing and support services to a varied client group? Our client has an excellent opportunity to join their established Independent Living Team providing support and services to their customers helping them to live independently in the community.

Working primarily within Independent Living Schemes located in Wellingborough and the surrounding area, you would be responsible for supporting residents by promoting their independence, wellbeing and welfare, and oversee the day to day running of the schemes.

The role of the Independent Living Officer will include:

Signing up new tenants and developing support plans
Supporting residents by providing information and signposting to local services
Carrying out regular support visits and reviews with customers in their home
Ensuring that schemes are maintained to a high standard and that repairs and regular checks are carried out.
They are looking for candidates who have:
A passion to work with older people and vulnerable adults
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to be flexible, well organised and to work on own initiative
A customer centred approach
Knowledge of the welfare system
Have a current clean driving licence and access to a vehicle
Whilst working closely with colleagues in the Housing Support Team you will need to be self-confident, and able to work on your own initiative. You will also need the ability to update and maintain accurate case records. This is a challenging but rewarding role, and you will need to work flexibly and collaboratively to manage competing priorities in order to deliver excellent outcomes for customers..

If you have the experience and passion to help achieve our client's goals and are highly proactive with a positive attitude, you might be just the person they are looking for. In return you will benefit from 28 days annual leave, health cash plan (following probation), the ability to work flexibly and the option of a Social Housing Pension Scheme
