Customer Experience & Sales Development (CESD) is key to the Global CMB Strategic Business Objectives Programme (SBO), charged with defining, developing and implementing “new-state” internal sales strategy and capabilities (digital/technology sales capability enhancements and development of CMB’s sales culture) and redefining the customer experience across all touch-points to deliver competitive advantage and enhance CMB’s unique global positioning.

The Senior Strategic Delivery Manager will report to the Director of Customer Intelligence based in UK, with alignment with the Strategic Delivery team based in HK. This is a senior manager position responsible for leading part of the AI platform delivery function sitting within the newly created Customer Experience & Sales Development (CESD) framework.

This Senior Strategic Delivery Manager will play a vital role in leading various Global CMB platform design projects of the GCMB Actionable Intelligence platform, including but not limited to platform enhancements related to: Sales Triggers; Risk Triggers; integration (via API for example) with other firms platforms, systems and processes; workflow designs involving multiple parties in a case; improving user experience; customer profile displays based on available data; user interface and platform layout designs; access control design, etc. They will translate business requirements/ policies/ procedures into design requirements. The role holder is responsible to lead a small project team and work closely and hands-on with internal (e.g. Senior Business Partners) and external stakeholders in design, development, UAT and implementation of the system enhancements, to ensure the functionality meets original requirement and objective.

The Senior Strategic Delivery Manager will be accountable for ensuring that all activity supports sustainable growth, and improved process/ automation in a responsible way to meet regulatory and customer needs. The role holder will be key to the Global CMB Strategy for the CESD function to fulfil the Global CMB SBO requirements. 

The successful candidate will be a graduate and will have the following attributes:

  • University degree in relevant disciplines.
  • Substantial work experience.
  • Good understanding of banking operations and processes, preferably in Commercial Banking context.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with project/collaboration tools such as JIRA, SharePoint and Confluence will be advantageous.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills.  Ability to navigate within the organization.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.  Strong team player with ability to coach junior staff and work with offshore resources.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
