We have an exciting opportunity for an electrically-biased Commissioning Engineer to join a highly respected company on a permanent basis in Derby. Our client has a wealth of knowledge and experience providing expert services to the Water sector. Due to an increasing workload, they are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to undertake commissioning, installation, process audits and technical support on a wide range of products and solutions.

As the selected candidate, you will have a number of responsibilities including: -

* Commissioning, servicing and process auditing of equipment / systems, which may be extended to include the supervision of installation works and management of others.

* Ensure that mechanical and electrical installations are executed and completed to good engineering practice, client specifications and internal design requirements.

* Responsible for environmental and H&S on site ensuring all relevant control measures are in place.

* Generate and complete relevant risk assessments, method statements and enforce all relevant legislative training requirements.

* Act as the face of the company on customer sites and build relationships with external customers as well as internal colleagues.

* Ensure all site records and reports pertaining to the installation and commissioning are completed in line with company procedures.

* Responsible for both dry and wet commissioning of newly installed potable water / waste water treatment plant.

The essential skills, experience and attributes required for this role include:

* Hold a minimum qualification in HNC or HND

* Electrical Engineering background with experience in instrumentation, I/O testing and plc understanding for dry and wet commissioning.

* Ability to work at remote sites, with willingness to travel to different locations and spend time away from home.

* Flexible to commit to varied working hours including occasional weekend cover.

* Ability to assimilate information gained in the role and training materials.

* Possess ability to read and maintain "As Built Drawings" (electrical, mechanical, P&I) through to final commissioning to ensure that O&M manuals are complete.

* Display sound H&S awareness through completed training.

* Good IT skills.

* Hold a valid UK driving licence.
