My client are looking for an IT Support Engineer to join them in their Bournemouth offices.

The purpose of the IT Support Engineer role is to manage the Server estate, the Network infrastructure and IP Telephony.

The IT Support Engineer will provide an assisting role to the Junior IT Support Engineer in matters relating to Desktop Support.

What will you be doing?
  • Support the Service Desk Analysts in resolving issues that come into the service desk, acting as a point of escalation for more challenging issues.
  • Install (build), Configure and Manage Server Hardware and Virtual Machine estate including:
    • Windows Server 2016
    • Windows Server Hyper-V Clustering
    • HP Proliant DL Hardware
  • Management of Activity Directory, Group Policy and DNS.
  • Network Infrastructure management, including core and edge switch configuration and management of the perimeter firewalls.
  • Manage Azure platform services

What skills should you have?
  • Exposure to working with IT related issues.
  • Demonstrable experience in an ITIL based environment.
  • Microsoft or Cisco certification(s)
  • Network Infrastructure

Length - 3 months initially with view to extend

Salary - £115 per day

Location - Bournemouth
