Service and Maintenance Engineer.

We looking to recruit a Skilled Service and Maintenance Engineer to work in the South East of England covering the Surrey / Sussex Area and ideally based within the Geographical Region of 25 Branches, covering an area of roughly 65 mile radius from Central Guildford,but not travelling into London.

The position would suit a candidate living in or around the following or surrounding areas Southampton, Basingsoke, Aldershot, Guildford,Leatherhead and Horsham.

The successful applicant will be looking after the equipment associated with the cleaning and finishing garments and household items in stores located in High Street & Supermarkets. Full training will be given on the equipment. The ideal candidate already be a qualified engineer, ideally with electrical experience holding 16th / 17th Edition or a Refrigeration Engineer with a C&G qualification. We need the engineer to have a good understand of 3 phase 415volts electrical test, fault finding and repair.

The position would also suit someone currently site or Mobile based building maintenance engineer who would like to try a new challenge.

The position would suit also suit an Engineer with various multi disciplinary skills who has maintained different types of electro mechanical machinery.

As well as a strong Electrical / Mechanical background, experience gained in any of the following disciplines would be a further advantage, electronics, hydraulic, pneumatics, gas boilers, steam distribution, heating and refrigeration.

The company will train the right candidate on the relevant technical courses they need to service the equipment; this will include Commercial Gas and Refrigeration Courses.

Key Responsibilities

Directly responsible to the Company's Senior Engineer.

Carry out routine preventative maintenance to avoid down time.

Respond to equipment breakdowns within the agreed service times.

Take ownership of work and problems, seeing them through to successful completion

Organise own Diary & Plan day to day workload and prioritise to meet demands of business.

Carry out service visits as per schedules, including Machine and Boiler Annual Services

Carry out regular testing e.g. PAT, Ventilation checks etc

Ensure all company documentation and records are up to date and submitted to the relevant parties on time

Assist with installations, refits, and modifications, and strip outs.

Carry out minor repairs to ancillary shop equipment and fittings. ie water and shop heaters and small plumbing and electrical works.

Order spare parts within agreed limits.

Become a key member of the Regional Business Unit.

Provide telephone support to branches relating to minor equipment problems.

To display a professional image to colleagues and customers at all times.

Technical Requirement - We are flexible on the technical background of the engineer, it can be an electrical qualified person - ideally 17th Edition or refrigeration engineer with a strong electrcial background or an all round factory machine maintenance engineer.

We will look at all technical maintenance engineers and full train them to the correct level and standards. We have a full training programme set up for all new Engineers joining the maintenance team.

The company is offer a great basic salary (OTE approx. £32k ) + (£5k - £10K ) Overtime a company Vehicle (car or Van) + Periodic On Call Allowance + 30 days holiday rising to 33 days (inclusive of bank holidays) + Pension + Health Insurance + Mobile Phone + Life Insurance and other benefit associate with a large company.
