The role of the Support Analyst is both a technical and customer facing role within the DXC Delivery organization. The candidate must be able to diagnose and resolve 2nd line incidents relating to Identity Vault and Active Directory. Working with BAE Service Technical Authorities to provide expertise in Active Directory best practice and drive process improvements around Active Directory maintenance and standards within the account delivered by DXC. Will be a key player in the DXC leveraged application support team which also provides service to other applications on the Systems Account and must be able to form good working relationships with Other Lines of Service, the Customers and 3rd Party Vendors.

Our client is running a programme to manage Export Control, one of these systems combines Active Directory and Identity Vault (NetIQ) to determine if individuals can be granted access to Export Controlled materials. The role is to work closely with our client to manage, support and maintain these systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work closely with customer to discuss and identify AD improvements, application incidents and problems and take to resolution.
  • To adhere to DXC processes and procedures.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key customer contacts.
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors.
  • Manage patches from initial fault-logging, receipt of a suitable fix and successful testing by the business, through to promotion into Production.
  • Manage any in-house releases and associated activities, including testing in appropriate environments.
    Skills
  • Experienced in Identity Vault from the vendor NetIQ
  • Excellent analytical skills and able to recommend improvements to AD.
  • A good working knowledge of the Linux Red Hat platform and command line skills are preferred but not essential.
  • ITIL certification or experience.
