SUMMARY: The role reports to the Associate Director, Accounting and comprises 4 parts:

1. Evaluate vendor payments;

2. Process payments;

3. Bank payments review;

4. Monthly checks and reconciliations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tasks may include but are not limited to:
  • Evaluate vendor payments
  • Gather approved vendor bills to prepare for payment;
  • Group vendor bills into spend categories;
  • Review due dates and separate between batch payments and manual.
  • Process Payments
  • Set up batch and manual payments accordingly;
  • Track manual payments.
  • Bank Payments Review
  • Verify payments have cleared bank account;
  • Update accounting system with cleared payments information;
  • Review bank transactions to ensure batches have fully cleared bank account.
  • Monthly checks and reconciliations
  • Month review of AP related transactions to ensure all are in the system so bank reconciliations can be carried out.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Some knowledge of financial accounting would be ideal;
  • Organised and self-disciplined with administration and paperwork;
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels;
  • Actively participates as a team member in achieving team goals
