We are looking for a Team Leader / Demand Planner to lead the Order Desk of a company based just outside Cambridge. You will also ensure that demand planning with sub-contract manufacturers matches orders, forecasts and revenues.

You will need to obtain UK security clearance (SC) for this role.

Responsibilities

As part of the Operations team, you will:
* Be a hands-on Team Leader with responsibility for the performance of the Order Desk team
* Demand planning with sub-contract manufacturers to match order, forecast and revenue requirements
* Maintain and promote excellent levels of customer service
* Oversee Order Desk team performance and KPIs - identify and implement improvements where appropriate
* Coach, mentor and develop Order Desk team to maximise team productivity, ensuring customer orders are loaded within a measurable turn-around time, and with the highest levels of administrative accuracy
* Ensure software and encryption requirements are clearly understood and loaded
* Ensure compliance export control and security procedures
* Develop the team to provide an effective service
* Provide a point of escalation for customers' queries
* Ensure orders are fulfilled to achieve company revenue and profit targets
* Staff management%3B appraisals, HandS, training, staff development and discipline
* Create and provide forecast updates to sub-contract manufacturers for all requirements to meet customer, forecast and revenue plans
* Recommend and execute forecast changes with Senior Management
* Manage inventory in line with customer service and financial targets
* Manage forecasts and inventory in line with legal restrictions on country of origin shipments to certain geographies
* Communicate and prioritise short term planning with the contract manufacturers to meet changing customer needs - escalate as required
* Recommend and help implement future strategy on contract manufacturing

* Good organisation skills - able to prioritise own time, work under pressure and build good relationships with key customers and suppliers
* The ability to influence senior stakeholders with customers, suppliers and management
* Knowledge of AX
* Degree calibre
