JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to

Department Head of

Purpose of Role

This role would involve working across all areas of the business with a particular emphasis on providing support in Sales Administration. You will develop a strong understanding on the residual market in order to provide support to the wider sales team.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Accountabilities

1. Producing sales 1-pagers that will assist the sales team to sell the wide range of products we have to offer across a number of different categories.

2. Help to build strong relationships with customers in order to develop a full contact strategy across all business functions

3. Support the sales team with day to day administration tasks such as NLF's, rework documents and processing of sales orders

4. Ensuring ongoing development of category, market and competitor knowledge through utilising industry networking software, trade press and physical visits.

5. Assist in creating targeted offers for both existing and new categories utilising all stock on the floor

6. Sharing market intelligence with key stakeholders within the business

7. Assist in analysing sales data in order to identify sales opportunities within account portfolio

8. Ensuring the CRM system is up to date with customer details, meeting reports and email / phone interaction.

9. Working to the minimum standards of Commercial Trainee as set out by Head of / Team leader

Responsibilities (support function, with ultimate decision making and monitoring located elsewhere)

1. Ensuring governance procedures are adhered to.

2. Supporting other business functions on ad hoc requests in order to ensure the wider business objectives are met.

3. Producing and developing internal documents that help support the sales teams, for example weekly journey planner, weekly figures.

4. Lease with members of the senior management team in order to highlight new sales opportunities.

Key Performance Indicators

· Orders processed within 4 hrs of receipt

· Sales presenters created for key presell / problem stock or displays

· Rework requests communicated effectively to ensure sufficient lead time

· Aged stock kept below £500k monthly average

· Customer and new business contact tracked within CRM system

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

· Good IT Skills - MS Office

· Communication Skills, both verbal and written

Preferred

· Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline (Business, Languages, marketing, etc)

· Experience in using CRM
