Lawyer/ Document Review Manager

Location: London


To manage document review projects/teams. Essential skills/experience are being a qualified lawyer (can be foreign qualified) with experience as a Team Leader or Manager of legal teams, specifically re Document Review Teams.

* Responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

* Work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team of Lawyers/Paralegals/Tech Staff to plan review strategies, and scope project requirements to fruition.

* Train your team/other attorneys on the substantive legal issues relevant to each project.

* Coordinate project communications with stakeholders.

* Liaise with stakeholders on project timing resulting in smooth, timely and accurate client service/billing.

* Manage multiple document review projects

* Conduct performance evaluations.

* Support other relevent teams to provide clients with compelling, timely responses and solutions to review opportunities.


Can be up to 20% (including international travel)

May require the ability to occasionally work a later shift or weekends (depending on project requirements).


* A qualified lawyer. Academic qualifications in additional fields desirable but not essential

* Solid experience in successfully managing large scale document reviews within a law firms or vendors

* Must be a self-starter and strong team player

* Technically sound in various applications; including Microsoft Office e.g. Excel, Outlook and Word.

* Excellent knowledge of document review software

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; strong presentation and influencing skills, both internal and external.

* Strong decision making and judgment skills are critical to this position; advanced problem solving experience is essential.

* Detailed oriented, resourceful, and driven

* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and able to work well with a team

* Secondary languages, desirable but not essential particularly German and French.

* Project Management experience and qualifications desirable (not essential) Prince2, PMP etc
